Argan Oil
Argan oil (or argan) is derived from the argan tree found in Morocco, precisely in the south-west between Agadir, Essaouira and Taroudant. It is widely used in the traditional cuisine of this region. Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, it is used even more for its cosmetic properties.
The organic oil contains 43% oleic acid (omega-9), 36% linoleic acid (Omega-6) and the remainder form mono-glycerol respectively.
It contains, in addition to these fatty acids, tocopherols (vitamin E), squalene, sterols and polyphenols.
